Tags: Totally Lost 2015, Ukraine
The huge ice stadium was built in order to boost and promote Ukrainian hockey. Despite the ambitious prospects, huge size and considerable amount of money invested, it was never completed and put into operation.
The construction started in 1978, but was soon frozen because of the Chernobyl disaster in 1986 as all funds where directed to healing the effects of the nuclear accident. After Soviet Union dissolution all construction works at the stadium stopped. Nowadays, the place attracts only graffiti painters and urban explorers.
