This is the Clubhouse Buna, “House of Friendship” of the VEB Chemical factory Buna.
Primarly meant for the 20,000 workers of the site, it was also used by GDR television and theater ensembles. It was built in 1952/53 and was later famous as “X50”.
In 2013 a company from Berlin bought the clubhouse at an auction in order to build an event arena. Read more about its future here, in german.
