The holiday camp was built to host the children of the AGIP (the Italian company for fuel research and distribution) employees, on a project by Giuseppe Vaccaro, a follower of Le Corbusier.
The construction works began in August 1937 and they were completed in July 1938. The main principle guiding the project was to give the young hosts a view to the sea at every time of the day.
The holiday camp is open, but accessible in its inside only on the occasion of particular events.
