The hotel was opened in 1969 and hosted some of the most important people in the world: Queen Elizabeth II, Richard Nixon, Tina Turner, Neil Armstrong, Willy Brandt and many others.
During the NATO bombings in 1999 it was directly stroke by two missiles, that destroyed its west wing. At present it is undergoing reconstruction works.

L’Hotel Jugoslavija è stato inaugurato nel 1969. È situato nella parte nuova della città di Belgrado (Novi Beograd), lungo il fiume Sava.
Ha ospitato tra le più importanti personalità della storia del ventesimo secolo, come la Regina Elisabetta II, Richard Nixon, Tina Turner, Neil Armstrong, Willy Brandt e tanti altri. Nel 1999 è stato duramente colpito dai bombardamenti NATO durante i quali l’ala ovest dell’edificio fu completamente distrutta.
