House of Teachers Part of the post war urban development of Halle

Part of the post war development of Thälmannplatz, this administrative building was erected in 1970. It has since been stripped of its aluminium cladding and redeveloped for other purposes. The aluminium façade was designed by Walter Funkat.

The stonework which intrudes into the left side of the second photo is the monument to the revolutionary workers movement, by Gerhard Lichtenfeld (1969), which has been demolished.
